The Legacy of Dave Hasz Part IV

This is my final installment on Dave Hasz’s legacy in my life.

If I had to describe Dave Hasz in one word it would be Generous.  Dave had that rare persona and countenance that exuded generosity.  He took the time to give of himself continually.  He cared for people he worked with and made time for them.

Dave believed in people and he backed that up with his resources.  His most valuable resource of time was given bountifully to the staff and interns he interacted with.  He was generous with his praise.  Dave highlighted people often.  He made sure that people knew what he thought of them and what God thought of them.

Thank you David Hasz for living a life of generosity.  I hope I will be able to follow in your footsteps of generosity and bless as many people as you did.

Farewell my friend and thank you for your leadership at the Honor Academy!

I echo that, Heath.  Dave Hasz was always very generous with his time and encouragement.  I’m going to miss him.

Dave Hasz’s impact on Teen Mania and the Honor Academy will be long-lasting. I’ve heard dozens of stories of how he impacted individuals and families by his love for Christ and his love for God’s people. Thank you for sharing the impact he’s personally had on your life Mr. Stoner!

Will Honor Academy continue to teach doctrine the same way Dave Hasz did?

    • Heath.Stoner

I’m not sure what doctrine you are referring.

I mean the things Dave taught at Honor Academy about having a relationship with God. Will they be taught the same now that Dave has moved on, or will HA be altering its doctrine?

I am not sure what you are talking about. We will continue to teach that we are in a right relationship with God because of what Christ did on the cross. We will continue to teach that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. We did not love Him first, but we love Him out of a response of His love for us.
